A Handy Camera Checklist Before You Head Out the Door

by Eric Von Lehmden | June 19, 2012

I know you love taking your camera everywhere and grabbing shots at parties, on vacation, at the zoo and even the ballgame. If you are like me and must have your camera with you at all times then you have probably gone a time (or in my case 2 or 3 times) when you forgot an essential piece of gear or batteries or memory cards...at home. Yes, I have left the house with my camera and without memory cards. It's not fun. So here is a nice checklist of everything you might need to your outing.

Feel free to print this out and make some copies of it so you don't forget something important.

Tips-n-Tricks #18

Practice your photo composition by looking at things through a frame like movie directors do. Make a square with your hands to get an idea of what to keep in the frame and what stays in. Fully extend your arms for a "zoomed in" composition or bring the square closer to your eyes for a "wide angle" look.
