Spectral Instruments 112 Megapixel Concept Camera Needs Your Help to be a Consumer Camera
by Cody Johnson | May 21, 2012 | News
Spectral Instruments is a small company that makes some pretty amazing cameras. You won't find these cameras at B&H or Adorama because they are used purely for research facilities, capturing virtually noiseless photos of the sun and the stars. Their latest model the 1110 is ultra light sensitive and has been used to capture the sun and the stars in one photo. Well now the employees of Spectral Instruments want to put the 1110's amazing sensor in the hands of a professional photographer to show off it's uber light sensitivity and amazing capability to capture black and white images. They want to hear your suggestions on who should test this behemoth of a camera. Some names thrown around are Gregory Heisler, Zack Arias, Martin Prihoda, and Lee Morris from fstoppers. Now it's up to you to help their management see that this is a viable project for them to invest in.
