That's right. Canvas Press was the star of a Shakespeare's Henry V. Well, "Star" might be laying it on a little thick, but I would venture to say we provided a very important prop to The Baron's Men production of Henry V. The Baron's Men is a non-profit acting troupe dedicated to performing Elizabethan plays in an authentic and entertaining way at Richard Garriott's Curtain Theater (which is a scaled reproduction of The Globe Theater in London. And it is located right here in Austin, TX. Not to get too far off track, The Baron's Men contacted us to help them out with one of their props needed in the play. They wanted to print an over-sized map of England and France onto canvas. If you know the play then you know the story divides itself between England and France. We were so happy to help them out with a terrific canvas print that, in my humble opinion, really added to the authenticity of the play. The Baron's Menput's on two plays a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. I highly recommend seeing one of their productions. It is small, intimate and a lot of fun. Here are some images from the play and a few close ups of the star attraction...THE MAP.
