How to Make a Custom Wall Mural from a Picture

You are looking at a bare wall in your bedroom, kitchen, guestroom, or kid's room. You know you want to put up some
custom wallpaper, but you don't know which image to choose and more importantly...will that image be good enough to enlarge to the size of the wall. Not to worry because we are here to help you out every step of the way. Here are a few scenarios and some ideas for how to make a wall mural from a picture.
Scenario 1 - You know what you want for the custom wallpaper, but you don't have the photo or artwork. Solution: Call us. We can help you source the exact image you are looking for to help create your custom wall mural. We have a library of over 20,000 images that include photography and famous artwork. And if we don't have it chances are we can find it for you at a pretty reasonable cost
Scenario 2 - You have the digital artwork or photo that you want to use for the custom wallpaper, but you aren't sure if the resolution is good enough. Solution: Again, I will say...give us a call. Here is why. Unless you are a professional photographer, or have a fantastic understanding of pixel ratios...it can be a little tricky to figure out what can be enlarged to the size of an 8 foot by 10 foot wall. The rule of thumb would be that images from a 12 megapixel or higher camera have a good chance of being enlarged for your wall mural. Again, if you have any doubt or would like assistance with your project do not hesitate to give us a call. Here are some other rules as what would work and what wouldn't.
- files you pull off the internet will probably not work...but see Scenario 1...we can probably find a file very similar to that for your project (unless it is a family portrait).
- files from Facebook are going to be pretty undersized to create a wall mural
- photos from a DSLR are going to be the best bet for a custom wall mural project.
Scenario 3 - You know you want some custom wallpaper for a room or rooms in your house, but you don't have any idea as to what you want it to look like. Solution: I think we can help with that too...but that one may take a little soul searching on your end. We are more than happy to brainstorm with you though. Scenario 4 - What if I don't want a photo or artwork, but I also don't want a design you can buy in the store? Solution: We've got your back. Remember that library of 20,000 images we talked about earlier? Well we have a pretty amazing array of designs that you won't find in stores. We can help you customize your pattern to fit a color scheme of your choice so that you will have a one of a kind design.
Scenario 5 - You have some existing wallpaper that you love, and you want to recreate it. Solution: Guess what...we can probably do that. If you send us a decent size sample (possibly a leftover roll or 8.5x11 swatch) we can do our best to recreate that wallpaper you love.
