Have a Hankering for a Polaroid Comeback?

by Eric Von Lehmden | December 4, 2012

Well, not so fast. Polaroid is still defunct...mostly, but this little news tidbit is to tell you about a new look-a-like Polaroid camera called the One Mini. The One Mini is from a Hong Kong based company called Carbon. No, this camera does not use the very hard to get Polaroid film. It is a 5 megapixel digital camera that has some pretty fun little features. It produces the same type of funky colors you are used to with the film Polaroid and this thing will fit in the palm of your hand. Combine it with a Pictbridge printer and presto, you have Polaroid style prints in your hands. You can choose to have the iconic Polaroid border on the photo or not. It is very easy to use, with only a power switch and the border choice...after that it is pure point and click. Great gift idea for any photo enthusiast. You can find it at Peek for $125.

A general rule of lighting is that you want your subject's face to be angled more toward your main light source. Direct overhead sunlight is where that does not apply. Think more of window light or if you are using off camera strobe lighting.
