Friday Wrap Up 10/3

by Eric Von Lehmden | October 3, 2014

I turned 39 years old yesterday. It was a great day...that is mostly due to my beautiful wife. She may be one of the most thoughtful people on the planet. She planned for me to open one small gift every hour of the day (at 43 minutes past). Needless to say it had me smiling all day long. Which is nice considering I am now staring 40 in the face. I'm not going to spew any self pity nonsense, but it is just crazy (and cliche) how fast the time goes. I look forward to this next year and meeting 40 face to face.

Oh yeah, and it's Friday. Sweet! I do have some links for you guys to check out. I would love to hear from any of you about some creative gem you have come across out there on the web.

Ambient light is the existing light in any environment. At mid day with no cloud cover there is a ton of ambient light...possibly too much for an interesting photograph. Ambient light can have many characteristics. Color temperature, soft light, hard light. When you begin to understand how existing light effects your photographs you are starting to become a photographer.
