To get great photos of your child's Christmas/Holiday program be aware of a few things. The stage lights can sometimes be enough light to get a good shot of your little actor, but only if they aren't moving around too much. Jockey for a good position to get your photo and if you do use flash try to dial it down using the flash compensation on your DSLR. Best of luck!
