Fathers’ day is coming up and it’s the kind of holiday when you give a gift of a family photo. Mom and dad have been begging me for pictures for quite some time. When my portraits came in I had the main picture scanned so I could upload it to the website I had found. I went to the website and started the process for my special Fathers day family photo gift.

I chose the 11 x 14 portrait size because it will fit in the spot mom and dad have reserved for it. I could have gone smaller but the print would have looked funny being smaller than the other portraits. And like I said before I was limited on the upper end by the amount of room available.

After much thought I went with a standard stretched canvas so that I could put it in a nice frame. I did find a nice one at Hobby Lobby www.hobbylobby.com. I did not have it converted to black and white even though I was tempted.

My picture was professionally taken so I did not need to have redeye removed or any retouching done to the photo. It was tempting to have the artist at CanvasPress add brush strokes to the print and make it look like a painted picture, but I decided against it.

I added some instructions just because I could. Then I uploaded the picture, paid for it and I was finished. It took just a few minutes and was easy. The website claimed it would ship in four days and I believe it did because I received it in less than a week.
