ENTRY RULES

Baby Contest

  1. Entrant MUST be the parent/ guardian of the baby in the photo
  2. Entrant MUST be the copyright holder of the image submitted (scans or copies of professional photos will not be accepted)
  3. Photos must be in .jpg format and at least 1600x1200 resolution
  4. Children in the picture may be 5 years or younger
  5. No exposed genitals or any content that could be considered pornographic.
  6. Photos must be of good quality, i.e. not blurry, too dark, etc.
  7. Employees and Consultants of Canvas Press and their immediate families are ineligible.
  8. Entrant must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States
  9. Winners of previous contests and their household are ineligible to enter another contest until the conclusion of the “Grand Finale” contest including their winning shot.
  10. Only one photo per household may be submitted per month
  11. The same photo may not be submitted more than once
  12. Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the close of the competition and must claim their prize within 1 week or risk forfeiture.

Themed Contest

  1. Entrant MUST be the copyright holder of the image submitted (scans or copies of professional photos will not be accepted)

  4. Employees of Canvas Press and their immediate families are ineligible
  5. Entrant must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States
  6. Winners of previous contests and their household are ineligible to enter another contest until the conclusion of the “Grand Finale” contest including their winning shot.
  7. Only one photo per household may be submitted per month
  8. The same photo may not be submitted more than once
  9. People should not be the dominant subject in the image
  10. Photos must relate to the current theme
  11. Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the close of the competition and must claim their prize within 1 week or risk forfeiture.

Legal

  1. Entries may not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.
  2. Entries may not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
  3. Entries may not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person's rights of privacy or publicity
  4. Entries may not include:
    • trademarks or copyrighted material owned by third parties
    • names, likenesses or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead
    • Entries in which You have purchased or secured the rights to use stock images
    • Entries which contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service
  1. Contest void where prohibited by law.
  2. No purchase necessary to enter or win the contest.
  3. Entrants maintain copyright of the image but by submitting to the Canvas Press photo competition, gives Canvas Press the license to publish submitted photo, photographer’s first name, city, and any caption supplied on our website and/or marketing materials. Slight photo alterations may be made in order to fit publication requirements and marketing use.
  4. Canvas Press will immediately disqualify any entry that is to our knowledge in violation to this agreement but is not responsible for any infringement or violation.
  5. Canvas Press has sole discretion as to what photos are/ are not appropriate for the photo contest(s) and that decision is final.
  6. Winner is responsible for any applicable federal/ state/ local taxes on winnings.
  7. In the event of a tie, the contest administrator at Canvas Press will provide the tie-breaking vote.

Voting

    • Each person may only vote once per 24 hour period.
    • Votes will be limited by email address and a maximum of 4 votes per computer IP address per 24 hour period.
    • Votes that appear to be validated under false email addresses will be disqualified.
    • To make your vote count you must click the Verification Link sent to your email in order to make it official.
