This spring freshen up your living space by bringing the outdoors inside. We're not going to talk about spring cleaning, but we are going to talk about getting your home ready for spring. Everything smells fresh and comes alive this season. As the seasons change, so can your living environment. Change your spirits and freshen up your space to match the season. A great thing about springtime is that all the plants and flowers are in full bloom. Bring that beauty of the outdoors in! You can take that literally, and have bouquets of fresh flowers, but I'm speaking metaphorically. Look at the colors you see outside and the richness of everything, and see how that can apply to your décor. Accent pillows, table top décor - these are easy things to replace throughout the year to keep your home looking new and inviting. Rotate out some of your family photos, perhaps you had a family picture from Christmas out on display. Now is just the right time to get out the bluebonnet portraits or the family shots in a lush, green, outdoor setting. If you don’t have these pictures, go out and take some! Whether you hire a photographer or use a tripod, make it into a fun family outing on the weekend. Are you growing a garden? Why not use images from your own collection of flora to decorate your home? Check out our tips on macro photography and see about getting some great close-up pictures, then use them to brighten up your rooms. Try creating a collage on your wall of several gallery wrap canvases showing flowers of different colors. Make a large gallery wrap or frame a stretched canvas of a field of wildflowers to hang over the couch or fireplace. 8x10 gallery wrap canvases can make nice table-top art and décor that are easy to move around and switch out during the year. This spring, even if you don't clean out the garage or organize the closets, at least you can give your mind a little peace and change of setting by rearranging some things and adding to the art and décor in your home.
